Join us for the last First Fridays promotion for the year, a fun-filled monthly celebration in Downtown Bedford held on the first Friday of October! From 4–7 PM, stroll through our charming downtown and enjoy:
Extended shop hours
Live music
Special promotions
Light refreshments at participating locations
New this year: Shop. Stamp. Win!
Travel to participating business and collect their stamp along the way. Each stamp equals one entry. At the end of the evening, email a photo of your passport to be entered into a drawing to win a $100 shopping spree at participating First Friday locations. The winner will be announced the following Monday.
Make a full day of it—explore our local attractions and unique boutiques, then turn it into a date night with great food and drinks at one of our incredible downtown restaurants.

Bedford Elks Halloween Parade
The annual Bedford Elks Halloween Parade has been scheduled for Monday, October 26th beginning at 7:30pm, with a 🌧 date of Wednesday, October 28th. The Parade theme this year is: Red, White & Boo! The parade will start at the east end of town, travel up East Pitt Street, and turn left onto Juliana Street where it will pass in front of the judges stand before disbanding at the Bedford County Courthouse. The parade will begin to form at 6:30pm. Individuals or organizations interested in being part of the parade may download registration form below. Mummers, who need no prior registration, should report to the Hometown Bank parking lot the night of the parade. Participants are reminded that throwing candy is prohibited, however, passing out candy is allowed. If selling, transient vendors are required to obtain a license from the Borough. The annual Parade is coordinated by the Bedford Elks Lodge #1707, and is also supported by Altoona First Savings Bank, Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, GK Dance Company, Hometown Bank of PA, Michael Meehan State Farm Insurance, Reed Wertz & Roadman, Ritchey, Ritchey & Koontz, and Somerset Trust.
